Grand Opening! Pendry West Hollywood Hotel

Something is stirring in the air. Spring is here, and spring ushers in new beginnings!

In anticipation of the April 2 opening of Pendry West Hollywood, Eric Buterbaugh, a world-famous LA-based florist, created seven larger-than-life floral installations which were unveiled this past weekend at iconic locations along Sunset Boulevard.

Let’s give them a warm Sunset Plaza welcome! This opening has been a long time coming. In fact, creative director Azadeh Hawkins has been involved with the project since it was set in motion five years ago. She has helped coordinate and manage every element- from the modern luxury hotel’s interior design all the way to the music and program planning. Everything is falling into place, and the staff at Pendry West Hollywood is so excited to begin welcoming guests on April 2!

Why Sunset?

Putting Pendry West Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard was seen as the opportunity of a lifetime. It’s an iconic location that’s intoxicating for more than its palm-lined, made-for-film streets. The hallowed grounds upon which Pendry West Hollywood sits once belonged to the House of Blues. Because Pendry Hotels & Resorts is passionate about collaborating with artists, they will be opening their live music venue once it’s safe, as an homage to the House of Blues.

A Modern Luxury Affair with a Golden-Age Twist

Pendry Hotels & Resorts began in 2017 with its San Diego location and is a modern luxury offshoot of Montage International’s portfolio, which has iconic locations in Laguna Beach, Palmetto Bluff, Deer Valley and beyond. Montage International was founded by Alan Fuerstman, a hospitality industry professional with over 40 years of experience in hotel management.

But what is modern luxury?

Pendry’s definition of modern luxury is the combination of inspired design with a celebration of culture and authentic service tailored to today’s cultured world traveler. Each property is injected with a unique perspective on contemporary style, and an emphasis on the arts and local community in the city it calls home. The brand is proud to offer each and every facet of modern luxury to their patrons.

Pendry West Hollywood will feature 149 luxury guest rooms and an additional 40 private residences. Designed by internationally acclaimed Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects and executed by Cunningham Group Architects, the hotel blurs the line between indoor and outdoor space to connect with their community and provide breathtaking vistas.

When patrons step inside, they will find art deco décor blended with modern architecture. The interiors were designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio which combined the concepts of Los Angeles at dusk and ocean waves to celebrate California’s laidback glamour.

Patrons will enjoy a luxurious night’s rest, beautiful views, warm and attentive service from the Pendry staff, and excellent amenities when they stay at Pendry West Hollywood!
